What Does Verified Mean?
The FertilityConnect Verified badge is awarded only after our medical team independently checks a clinic across five critical areas. Here is exactly what we look for.
ART Act 2021 Licensing
We confirm the clinic holds a valid licence under the Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Act, 2021 — the primary legislation governing IVF and ART clinics in India. Unlicensed clinics are not listed on FertilityConnect.
Licence numbers are verified directly with the National ART & Surrogacy Registry.
IVF Lab Standards
Our medical advisors review the clinic's IVF laboratory setup across 15 key parameters including air filtration (HEPA), incubator quality, embryo vitrification protocol, and culture media standards.
Clinics must meet a minimum threshold before receiving the Verified badge. We check for time-lapse monitoring, RFID embryo tracking, and annual equipment calibration records where applicable.
Medical Team Credentials
Every listed doctor's qualifications, registration number (MCI/NMC), and specialisation in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility (REI) are independently verified.
We cross-reference with the National Medical Register and check DM/FNB/Fellowship credentials for REI specialists. Embryologist certifications are checked against their stated experience.
Success Rate Auditing
Clinics must provide documented evidence for any success rates published on their FertilityConnect profile. Self-reported rates are marked clearly; audited rates carry the Verified badge.
We request cycle-level data for at least the previous 12 months. Rates are calculated per embryo transfer (not per stimulation cycle) to align with ICMR and ESHRE 2024 reporting standards.
Annual Re-verification
The Verified badge is not permanent. Clinics are re-checked annually and after any change in ownership, medical director, or lab setup. Badges are suspended immediately if a complaint is upheld.
Patients can report concerns via our platform. All reports are reviewed by our medical advisory board within 14 working days.

What about non-Verified clinics?
Clinics listed without the Verified badge are registered on our platform and may offer excellent care — they simply have not yet completed our full verification process. This may be because they are newly listed, the review is ongoing, or they have not yet submitted the required documentation. We encourage patients to ask any clinic for their ART licence number and to verify it independently via the National ART & Surrogacy Registry.
